Beacon is currently assisting scientists from government agencies and a university to analyze two lakes in a tropical region of Central America for the presence of microcystins in drinking water sources.

The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard encompasses and expands upon the ISO 9001:2015 requirements with a greater emphasis on laboratory operational competency and generation of valid results.
